Alternative Lodging

The Shire is the recommended alternative to for lodging. It is located about 1/4 mile east of the Woodstock Inn on Route 4.  

Other choices include:

Kedron Valley Inn: one of Vermont's oldest operating inns,
Rates start at $137 for "weekdays" - Sun - Thursday.

Braeside Motel of Woodstock
432 Woodstock Road, Woodstock.
2 night minimum weekends; queen or full size beds only
12 rooms, 8 with double beds, rate is $88.00

The Woodbridge Inn of Woodstock
This Inn is a six miles WEST of Woodstock, just before the Bridegewater
Mill Marketplace (great shopping) Rates start at $99 AND, you'll get to
stop at the White Cottage Snack Bar for ice cream and sit beside the
Ottauquechee River, or wade if you dare!

Carriage House of Woodstock
A B & B with 9 rooms, about 1/2 mile west of Woodstock, just past the
Farmer's Market on the left. Most room have ONE queen bed. Rates for
weekdays, $95-$160.

Ottauquechee Motor Lodge
Again, west of Woodstock, 4.5 miles, rates start at 59 for Sun-Thursday.
Please call to make reservations, not online.

Ardmore Inn
Right in town, rates begin at $135, double occupancy, better ask if they
have one or two beds in room.

Pond Ridge Motel
Economical, 1.5 miles west of town. Single queen room has shower, larger
doubles with two beds and a full bath.
$59 & 69 / weeknights.

There are many more B&Bs, consider the Apple Butter Inn on Happy Valley
Road just 4 miles east of the Village, or the Jackson House for real
elegance, right in town.
