Scholarship Available for Library and Information Science Students

Be eligible to receive funding to attend the Conference (maximum award $225) by having your poster accepted for display at the Conference.

How?
Submit a brief description using a structured abstract that includes Objectives, Methods, Results, and Conclusions. To see an example go to: http://research.mlanet.org/abstract.html. Email your abstract by August 1, 2006, to the attention of Charlie Greenberg at librarian4ysm@yahoo.com. Please include your contact information, library school you are attending, and the semester and year of graduation. The most outstanding original poster proposal will receive funding to attend the conference and stay at the conference hotel (maximum award $225) as well as a certificate of achievement. Selection will be made by September 1, 2006. Note: to be eligible you will need to have been a LIS student in the 2005-2006 school year.

What is a Poster?
A poster is a visual presentation of a project or research you have done in the field of library and information science. It can reflect research done for a class or from work you have done in a library.
