National Network of Libraries of Medicine/ New England Region,
Consumer Health Information Coordinator, September 2003-present

  • Exhibit NLM, NN/LM and NER products and services at regional and national meetings
  • Develop and conduct training and demonstrations of MedlinePlus
  • Teach classes on consumer health for public librarians, health professionals and consumers
  • Develop and maintain the content of the NER web site for program area
  • Write and edit articles on Consumer Health for the New England region’s newsletter
  • Monitor consumer health outreach subcontracts in the region
  • Serve as Liason to Maine, Vermont and New Hampshire

Cambridge Health Alliance, Carr Health Sciences Library, Somerville Hospital,
Medical Librarian, July 2000-September 2003

  • Researched the medical literature on databases, the Internet and print holdings
  • Borrowed and lend interlibrary loans using Docline and the Boston Public Library's ILLiad
  • Responsible for collection development and cataloging of library's print resources
  • Created and taught two monthly classes: Internet Basics for Nurses and Online Research for Residents
